Covid

Whew! So many months of isolation in homes has taken its toll on all of us, especially the elderly who live alone without benefit of cell phones, laptops, and iPads. They have been cut off from others, and this can have a devastating effect on mental and physical health. If you have someone like that in your family, why not get that person started on writing a memoir? To do so can lift the spirit and bring your relative joy in having a new purpose for daily living. You can start by asking questions about the past to lead into presenting your loved one with a pen and notepad to prompt the writing. I daresay that, in years to come, you and your family will treasure the reading.
On January 4, 2023, COVID and pneumonia put a "hold" on my life activities. I was in the hospital and in rehab until I was pronounced "Good to go" on February 23rd. I consider this to have been a miracle because I am approaching my 90th birthday! I certainly do not recommend this way of taking a vacation from life's duties. Hopefully, there will be more regular blog articles in the future--for as long as I have one.
